The Story

Robots are what I have been fond of, particularly legged ones, regardless their expensiveness. I always spare some time to build a robot. Sadly, the prices of those needed parts are usually more than 100 dollars. In my observation of the market, there are few people who could actually understand the process of building robots. A year ago, when I started to develop Mark II, I use the free and accessible platform of Arduino. This platform gives me a quit cheap deal to build a complicated robots. With the public hardware and software, it makes robot-building easier and more interesting for amateurs to join in the world of robots.



The Dream

With mass production, there is a low cost robot for everyone to own. This is a similar concept of IKEA robot. Mark II is adopting 2 mm aluminum alloy (6061) cut with CNC. In effort of lowering the total cost of building, we tempt to provide an affordable price of six legged robot. It is believed that Mark II is the first robot for everyone to easily adjust and to expand with further components regardless of your knowledge of robots.



The Robot

Mark II is the first open type robotic product of Pixid.

The features are:
‧Low pricing, approximately one-sixth the average price in current market.
‧Each leg with three degree of freedom
‧Control board compatible with Arduino
‧Adjustable software(Open-Source modify as you want)
‧Advanced Inverse Kinematics Driven Gait Engine
‧12 kinds of Gait type
‧Aluminum alloy surface
‧2.4G Wireless remote Control via PS2 Joystick
‧Great platform for hobby, education, research, and Mech Warfare!

The complete suite includes:
‧18x Standard GWS S03T Robot Servos.
‧Totally anodize aluminum Hexapod Legs & Body Kit
‧Arduino Nano mini circuit board
‧24 axis servo controller circuit board
‧2x USB A to Mini-B Cable
‧1x 2.4G Wireless PS2 Joystick



If the funding reached to 200 thousand dollars, we would be providing a premium package with all the parts and manual.

Even if we fail which means we can't provide anything to you, but we still would provide our original ideas for public use (including AutoCAD files and source code). Unfortunately, there won』t be cheap robots for people due to the failure to mass produce those suites. Pixid Inc. is set to target massive production of affordable robots by this open type robotic package. We need your HELP for fulfilling our dreams.

   募到的金額是 $0,不會吧?~~~我覺得Mark II做得還不錯,
不過一隻要價約1萬台幣,
對於沒有人願意出資這背後的意義值得玩味。
